Let it Be

As we reflect on one year of life and loss under the pandemic, Catskill Ballet Theatre is honored to offer you this piece – Let it Be, choreographed by our Artistic Director, Melissa Bierstock. Created during the height of the pandemic, and performed by our dancers on parking lots and lawns of nursing homes to lift those that were perhaps most ravaged by COVID-19, this piece poignantly captures our collective grief and resilience simultaneously. We invite you to experience this special studio performance, with Jonathan Delgado (piano) and Tom Leighton (vocals) performing McCartney/Lennon’s original and members of our corps de ballet performing Melissa Bierstock’s choreography. Visit Anne Hebard School of Ballet for a special message from the Artistic Director.

Despite the challenges of adapting from the performance stage to videography, we were able to create a small collection of works in 2020, driven by our mission to bring arts to the community, even under the most dire circumstances. We invite you to enjoy those pieces below. We are proud of our resilience, but know that we could not do any of it without your support. If you are able please consider a donation to help us rebuild as we emerge from the pandemic.
